This year expedition to search for the wreck of the ORP "Eagle" will begin in early August
"SANTI Find the Eagle" is a long-term project to find the wreck of the ship and unravel the mystery of the sinking.
We have been cooperating with the Find the Eagle Foundation for 9 years. We are involved in the project and support the continuation of research and efforts to find the lost wreck of the ORP "Eagle".
This year's expedition will begin from the port of Ijmuiden in the Netherlands, the SANTI Find the " Eagle" team has planned 6 full days of exploration in the North Sea. So far, it has already tested several, those most obvious hypotheses such as "Friendly Fire" , so this year's search area has been developed on the basis of a less likely hypothesis. The team plans to verify about 100 potential Eagle positions northeast of the A3 area. They will trace the routes of other Allied submarines that left the area for reconnaissance purposes. They will verify a little-identified area of the North Sea.
