Our goal is to make the best diving equipment possible, not mass-scale data processing. So, we have not appointed a data protection officer. We can answer all your questions in that subject at: santi@santidiving.com.

Why we process personal data:

  1. Personal contact – we need to process your data to answer your questions by e-mail, telephone, web forms or through social media.
  2. Running our distribution network – if you are a Santi dealer or distributor, we process your data to facilitate distribution and sales of our products in our distribution system. In that case you will receive some e-mail information.
  3. Ordering services – we only produce diving equipment, so all other goods and services we buy somewhere else.
  4. Financial reporting – like every bussiness – we are obliged to keep financial records for taxing purposes. It may involve data of your customers and business partners.
  5. Online sales – we process personal data when selling our afterdive collection in online store
  6. Equipment service – we provide warranty and post-warranty service so we process data to collect, fix and send your equipment back.
  7. Stay dry club – we also provide a benefit program for our clients, who choose to receive our newsletter
  8. Santi Photo/Video Awards – We hold yearly photo contest where we process data of participants and as well as keep the data of photographs sent in.
  9. Archiving – we are required by law to keep some documentation, mostly fiscal and employment-related for longer than we need it
  10. Debt collection and defense against claims – we keep some data after we stop using it in case we need it in dispute settlement

Legal Basis for processing:

Per GDPR, legal basis for data processing are:

  • performance of a contract to which the data subject is party (2,3,5,6,7,8)
  • legal obligation (4,9)
  • legitimate interests pursued by Santi (1,2,3,7,8,9,10)

Data receivers:

Your data may be entrusted to outside providers of some services we use in our business, such as: IT, marketing, legal counsel, logistics and additionally to public authorities, when it is required by law. Your rights: GDPR grants you the following rights regarding your data:- the right to object against the processing, on grounds relating to your particular situation- the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning the data subject as well as the right to data portability;- the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling. Data processing is subject to control of supervisory authority – in Poland it is Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych – where on may lodge a complaint. Complaint may be lodged to competent authority in any other UE country, if it is our residence.
